The Big Story Ep 101: How growing KTV cluster poses risks to households 11:19 mins Synopsis: This is a special episode of The Straits Times' video series The Big Story, hosted by Hairianto Diman and Olivia Quay. Singapore reported 48 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday (July 15), including 42 cases in the community. Of them, 33 are linked to the growing KTV cluster, bringing the total number of cases to 87. Investigations into this rapidly growing cluster continue. The Ministry of Health (MOH) says there is likely ongoing transmission at more KTV lounges after cases of infection were confirmed amongst hostesses who had visited these clubs currently operating as F&B outlets. Professor Teo Yik Ying, Dean of NUS' Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, discusses the Government's approach in handling the growing cluster, and how the recent developments may affect Singapore's reopening plans.
