#GameOfTwoHalves Ep 64: 2019's sporting highs and hopes for the future

12:40 mins

Synopsis: #GameOfTwoHalves is The Straits Times' weekly sports podcast that is out every Tuesday.

In this episode, Money FM's Bernard Lim hosts ST sports editor Lee Yulin and assistant sports editor Rohit Brijnath.

Some of the biggest stories of Singapore sport this year came from the South-east Asia Games which ended on Dec 11. Other things that got people talking included Yeo Jia Min's giant-killing run at the Badminton World Championships, the Singapore Taekwondo Federation's suspension by World Taekwondo and the Singapore National Olympic Council and Soh Rui Yong lawsuits.

Overseas, it was Tiger Woods, the Women's football World Cup and the Rugby World Cup that grabbed the headlines.

The podcasters discuss what their favourite sporting moments of 2019 were, and their new year wishes for what they would like to see in the sporting world.

Produced by: Howie Lim, Rohit Brijnath and Sazali Abdul Aziz
